Funding Nonprofits
Each year, Loomis Sayles sets aside a generous portion of its pre-tax income to fund those nonprofits working to improve the lives of individuals and their families in under-resourced communities. We support organizations that work with the most in need ā and our focus is in the cities of Boston, Detroit, Chicago, San Francisco, London and Singapore ā where our employees live and work.
Our Community Partners
10,000 Degrees
10,000 Degrees aims to help students from low-income backgrounds get to and through college in order to positively impact their communities and the world. Education is the foundation of a just and equitable society. To further support 10,000 Degrees in education and youth, Loomis Sayles also works closely with 10,000 Degrees to source undergraduate summer interns to provide them with exposure to the investment management industry.
Agassiz Village
Agassiz Village offers children a summer camp environment that promotes the development and practice of leadership and life skills, ultimatelyĀ making a positive impact on their future. Agassiz’s programs invest in children’s futures through education, family, career, and community. They inspire and enable children to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible leaders. Each year, Loomis Sayles employees volunteer their time to put “camper pack” supplies together for each child. Children receive their packages upon arrival at summer camp.
Food from the Heart
Food from the Heart is a charity based in Singapore, whose mission is to alleviate hunger by providing reliable, consistent, and sustainable food support to the less fortunate through food distribution programs. With the support of donors, food industry partners, and more than 10,000 volunteers, Food from the Heart made a difference to the lives of close to 64,000 people throughout Singapore by distributing $8.5 million worth of food in one year. Loomis Sayles employees in the Singapore Office volunteer each year to pack snack bags for their school programming as well as participate in their Holiday Toy Buffet.
Franciscan Children’s Hospital
Since 1949, Franciscan Childrenās has served children and adolescents with complex medical, mental health, and special education needs.Ā Loomis Sayles is proud to support their Children’s Wellness Initiative (CWI) program, which provides behavioral health services directly to children within Boston area schools. CWI clinicians (social workers) are fully embedded in each school, working alongside the school community to provide for each child’s unique needs.Ā
Home Base
Home Base is a national nonprofit dedicated to healing the invisible wounds of war for Veterans of all eras, Service Members, Military Families, and Families of the Fallen through world-class, direct clinical care, wellness, education, and research ā all at no cost to them ā regardless of era of service, discharge status, or geographical location. Loomis Sayles is proud to support mental health initiatives across many avenues, but especially for those who serve to keep us safe.
Helping Hand
Helping Hand is an organization that empowers children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Chicagoland through person-centered education, therapy, residential, and employment programs. Loomis Sayles is a proud partner of Helping Hand, as we believe developing our communities inclusively is important.
JINC
JINC works in collaboration with schools and business partners to provide career guidance, professional orientation, and learning opportunities to children and teens. JINC aims to create a society where a child’s background does not determine their future and where every child gets a fair chance. Loomis Sayles employees in the Utrecht Office volunteer as trainers or coaches to help facilitate meaningful discussions and teach job-specific skill sets.
SquashBusters
SquashBusters challenges and nurtures youth ā as students, athletes, and citizens ā to help them recognize and fulfill their greatest potential in life. Through tutoring, SAT prep, and one-on-one college mentoring, SquashBusters prepares its students for lifelong success, including helping them find pathways to internships such as those offered at Loomis Sayles.

Lighthouse
Lighthouse, a nonprofit in Pontiac, Michigan, endeavors to build equitable communities that alleviate poverty in partnership with and in service to individuals, families, and organizations. Loomis Sayles employees volunteer their time to help support Lighthouse’s mission through holistic efforts.
Northside Achievement Zone
The Northside Achievement Zone (NAZ) exists to permanently close the achievement gap and end generational poverty in North Minneapolis. They work side by side with low-income families to support their children on a path to college. To close the achievement gap, NAZās wraparound framework effectively supports low-income children of color so that they will graduate from high school prepared for college. Loomis Sayles is proud to support NAZ’s initiatives in investing in our youth.
Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy
The Conservancy has sole responsibility for managing all aspects of the Rose Kennedy Greenway in Boston, including horticulture, programming, public art, maintenance, and capital improvements. Loomis Sayles is proud to support the Greenway Park Rangers, who patrol the park from morning through evening to ensure a safe and welcoming park experience for all visitors.
School Home Support
1.5 million children in England are persistently absent from school and in return are missing a vital amount of education. Persistently absent children (defined as those missing 10%+ of attendance) are severely affecting their future. For over 40 years, School Home Support has worked to alleviate obstacles and provide support to keep at-risk children in school. Loomis Sayles is a proud supporter of SHS and their goals.
ZUMIX
ZUMIX is an East Boston-based nonprofit organization dedicated to building community through music and creative technology. Their award-winning music and creative technology programming are designed to equip youth with the tools necessary to reach their full potential, while creating a safe space for youth to explore who they are and who they want to be.Ā Loomis Sayles is proud to extend support to initiatives that help our youth grow and develop to their fullest potential.
