Biography

Michael Giles is the Chief Investment Risk Officer overseeing investment strategy and risk management at Loomis, Sayles & Company. He is responsible for developing and formalizing risk management processes for the independent monitoring of equity and fixed income contributions to risk and return, on both an absolute and relative basis. Previously, Michael was Manager of Strategy Analytics for the Fixed Income Group. He joined Loomis Sayles in 1997 and has 28 years of investment industry experience. Michael earned a BSBA from Northeastern University. He is a CFAĀ® charterholder, holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation and has earned the Financial Risk Manager designation.
