Biography
Melissa Partridge is the Director of Community Investments at Loomis, Sayles & Company. In this role, she oversees the firmās charitable giving and strategic partnerships with nonprofit organizations, employee engagement through volunteerism and employee-directed donations and the Undergraduate Summer Internship Development Program. Melissa joined Loomis Sayles in 2021 from Babson College, where she was the director of corporate and foundation philanthropy, responsible for building and cultivating a pipeline of community relationships in mission-aligned sectors and key markets in which the College sought increased presence and engagement. Previously, she was the chief of staff at Mass Insight Education, where she represented the organization and managed relationships with strategic partners and funders to cultivate, steward and advance organizational priorities. Prior to this, Melissa was the director of expanding learning time for Boston Public Schools, where she created district strategy, implementation plans and evaluations for expanded learning time for students with support from funders, foundations and nonprofit partners. She has over 17 years of experience in the nonprofit and education sectors, including serving as a special projects consultant at Massachusetts General Hospital, a co-leader of the City of Boston Mayorās Office Task Force on Autism and a teacher and curriculum coordinator at schools in Massachusetts and New York. Before moving to the nonprofit and education sectors, Melissa worked in trading and portfolio management at UBS and Lehman Brothers. She earned a BA in English from Villanova University, an MS in curriculum and teaching from Fordham University, an EdM in educational leadership from Harvard University and participated in the Institute for Educational Leadershipās Education Policy Fellowship Program. Melissa is also a member of the board of directors for the nonprofit organization Courageous Sailing.
