Biography
Lawrence Jones is a Municipal Bond Trader for the Fixed Income Group at Loomis, Sayles & Company. He has 31 years of investment industry experience and joined Loomis Sayles in 2019 as part of the firm’s acquisition of McDonnell Investment Management, where he had served as a vice president and senior portfolio manager in the municipal client group. In this role, Lawrence was responsible for implementing tax-exempt investment strategies for the company’s client portfolios. Previously, he was a member of the taxable fixed income client group, where he performed risk management evaluation for client portfolios and implemented taxable investment strategies. Prior to this, Lawrence was a member of the mutual fund trading desk at Van Kampen Investments, where he performed portfolio analysis and traded both municipal and taxable securities. Prior to that, he worked at Edward D. Jones & Co. Lawrence earned a BA in Economics from the University of Iowa.
