Biography
Kelly Cruse is the Director of Municipal Research at Loomis, Sayles & Company. She has 34 years of investment industry experience and joined Loomis Sayles in 2019 as part of the firm’s acquisition of McDonnell Investment Management, where she had most recently served as managing director and senior fixed income analyst covering municipal bonds. She was promoted to head of the Municipal Bond Research Group in 2021. Previously, Kelly was at Allstate Investments, where she performed analysis in the higher education, housing, special tax and general obligation municipal bond sectors. In this role, she analyzed and evaluated financial data, credit fundamentals and legal structure to determine internal ratings and outlooks. Additionally, Kelly worked closely with portfolio managers to provide buy/sell recommendations and other critical information. She is a member of the Chicago Municipal Analysts Society and the National Association of Municipal Analysts. Kelly earned a BA in Finance from DePaul University.
