Biography
David Xia is a Senior Credit Research Analyst at Loomis, Sayles & Company, where he covers the media, telecom and cable industries in leveraged finance. He joined Loomis Sayles in 2022. Previously, David was a senior investment analyst at the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, where he covered the telecom, media, automotive, utilities, transportation and specialty finance sectors. Prior to this, he was a senior investment analyst at Standberry Research, where he covered the energy, metals and mining, technology and specialty finance sectors. Before this, David was an analyst at Mast Capital Management, an associate from KeyBanc Capital Markets and an electrical engineer in the telecom industry. He earned a BS in electrical engineering and a BS in computer science from the University of Maryland, College Park, an MS in electrical engineering from John Hopkins University and an MBA in finance and accounting from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. David holds FINRA licenses 7, 63 and 79, and is fluent in Chinese.
