Biography
David Waldman is the Chief Investment Officer of Loomis, Sayles & Company. He oversees the firmās diverse investment teams across fixed income and the Small Cap, Emerging Market and Global Equity Opportunities Teams in equity. In addition, David oversees the firmās centralized resources, including Trading, Sustainability, Investment Risk Management and the Credit, Applied Integrated Quant (Applied IQ), and Macro Strategies Research Groups. He is also a member of the firmās Board of Directors.
David joined Loomis Sayles in 2007 as Director of the Applied IQ Team. He was promoted to Deputy CIO in 2013 and to CIO in 2021. He has 37 years of investment industry experience. David spent his early career as a fixed income portfolio manager with Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Lazard Freres Asset Management. He later joined Putnam Investments, where he was a senior portfolio manager and director of fixed income quantitative research. He earned an undergraduate degree in economics from Stanford University and an MBA in finance from New York University.
