Biography
Brian Fahrman is a Municipal Bond Trader for the Fixed Income Group at Loomis, Sayles & Company. He has 26 years of investment industry experience and joined Loomis Sayles in 2019 as part of the firmās acquisition of McDonnell Investment Management, where he had served as an assistant portfolio manager in the municipal client group. In this role, Brian was responsible for implementing tax-exempt investment strategies for the companyās client portfolios. He joined the municipal bond trading desk in 2021. Previously, he was an investment analyst at Credit Suisse Securities, where he was responsible for presenting market opportunities to the private bank and analyzing the tax-exempt market in search of inefficiencies and relative value opportunities. While at Credit Suisse, Brian also served as a senior municipal bond trader for eight years, during which time he was responsible for developing, recommending and implementing customized fixed income strategies for high-net-worth separately managed accounts. Prior to this, he was a municipal marketing specialist at Merrill Lynch & Co. as well as a portfolio manager/municipal bond trader at Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management. Brian earned a BS in Business Administration from the University of Maine and an MA in Criminal Law & Procedure from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
