Biography
Bernardo Aumond is a Co-Director of the Applied Integrated Quant (Applied IQ) Team at Loomis, Sayles & Company. In this role, he conducts research on risk modeling, portfolio construction, relative value analysis and systematic investment strategies. Bernardo has 18 years of investment industry experience. He joined Loomis Sayles in 2007 and spent seven years as an Analyst on the Applied IQ Team. Bernardo then spent four years at Wellington Management as a global multi-asset analyst, responsible for new product development, portfolio construction, risk awareness, client outreach and proprietary relative value analysis, before returning to Loomis Sayles in 2018 as an Associate Director of the Applied IQ Team. Previously, he was the director of engineering at Bioprocessors Corporation, as well as a senior mechanical engineer at SurfaceLogix. Bernardo earned an MS in finance from Suffolk University and an MS and PhD in engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
