Gulliermo Ruiz-Rico, CFA

Biography

Guillermo Ruiz-Rico is a Quantitative Analyst on the Applied Integrated Quant (Applied IQ) Team at Loomis, Sayles & Company. In this role, he is responsible for developing, maintaining and managing proprietary statistical models and software tools to support the investment process, with a primary focus on the firm’s equity strategies. Guillermo joined Loomis Sayles in 2022 and has 11 years of investment industry experience. Previously, he was a product manager for the alpha factor library and a quantitative specialist for investment management workflows at S&P Global Market Intelligence. Prior to this, Guillermo was a senior consultant for financial institutions throughout the US, focusing on model risk management, model development, technology, internal audit and operations. He earned a BA in European Management from the EM Strasbourg Business School, a BS and MS in Business and Economics from University of Alicante and an MS in Software Development from Boston University. Guillermo is a CFA® charterholder.
