Biography
Don Chaney is the Director of Mortgage and Structured Finance Trading at Loomis, Sayles & Company. He joined Loomis Sayles in 2019 and has 36 years of investment industry experience. Don has extensive trading, investing and sell-side experience, including profit and loss responsibilities for diverse portfolios of securitized assets.
Don was the managing director of the securitized products trading desk at CRT Capital Group. Before that, Don was managing director of the mortgage trading desk at RBS Greenwich Capital Markets, trading consumer and esoteric ABS, private label RMBS and subprime RMBS. Prior to that, he spent 15 years at Banc One & First Chicago Capital Markets in a progression of roles, most recently as managing director and head of securitized secondary trading, responsible for managing agency MBS and ABS trading desk.
Don earned a BBA from George Washington University and an MBA from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He is a CFA® charterholder.
