Biography

Huani Zhu is a Sovereign Analyst for the Macro Strategies Group at Loomis Sayles Investments Asia Pte. Ltd. In this role, she performs macroeconomic analysis and assesses investment opportunities in various fixed income products and FX with a focus on emerging markets in Asia. Huani joined Loomis Sayles in 2020 and has 13 years of investment industry experience. Previously, she was an economist at Mizuho Bank, Ltd., where she analyzed macroeconomic, policy and political developments across Asia. Prior to this, Huani was an economic and policy researcher in the policy support unit at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). She started her career as an economic analyst at Capital Dynamics, a fund management and investment advisory firm. Huani earned an MPhil in economics from the University of Cambridge and a BSc in mathematics and economics from the University of Warwick. She is a CFAĀ® charterholder.
