Biography

Jim Grabovac is a Municipal Bond Investment Strategist at Loomis, Sayles & Company, where he serves as the primary liaison between the Municipal Bond Portfolio Management Team and the firm’s Technology and Investment Risk Management Departments. He has 44 years of investment industry experience and joined Loomis Sayles in 2019 as part of the firm’s acquisition of McDonnell Investment Management, where he had served as managing director and investment strategist. In this role, Jim was responsible for executing tax-exempt and crossover investment strategies for the company’s client portfolios. Previously, he was an independent futures trader, and managed tax-exempt mutual funds at INVESCO Funds Group in Denver. Prior to this, Jim managed a high yield municipal bond fund at Stein Roe & Farnham. In addition to managing mutual funds, he has also worked extensively with insurance company clients. Jim earned a BA in Economics from Lawrence University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan. He is a CFAĀ® charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society Boston.
