Biography
Jon Levy is a Global Strategist covering European markets for the Macro Strategies Group at Loomis, Sayles & Company. He also contributes to the firmās macro views. Jon joined Loomis Sayles in 2020 and has 20 years of investment industry experience. For a decade, he held roles in the markets group and the presidentās office at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he researched global market, policy and financial system issues and contributed to multiple aspects of the New York Fed and FOMCās decision-making and implementation. In 2015 and 2016 he was seconded to the Bank of England, where he co-managed foreign reserve portfolios and contributed to the Bankās market intelligence efforts during the EU referendum. Prior to joining the Fed, Jon developed the western Europe practice at Eurasia Group, where he advised leading investors and companies on economic, policy and political developments in the region. Jon also served as a national security policy director for the John Kerry for President campaign. He earned an AB from Brown University and an MA from Johns Hopkins University.
